NFL legend Aaron Rodgers has hit out at Dr. Fauci once again on the Pat McAfee Show.

The New York Jets star has a weekly slot on the ESPN show and he talked about his rehab from a torn Achilles suffered in Week 1 of the 2023 season. As he did so, McAfee said the 39-year-old was ‘defying science’ given the rapid progress he has already made in his bid to return to full fitness before the end of the season.

As the sports host made his comment, the 2011 Super Bowl winner interjected and took a swipe at Dr. Fauci. "Like we learned, if science is Dr. Fauci, you’re damn right I’m defying science," he said. Rodgers’ latest swipe at the former chief medical advisor to President Joe Biden came after he called for a debate with the 82-year-old and Travis Kelce, who he called ‘Mr Pfzier’, after the Kansas City Chiefs star’s appearance in a vaccine advert.

"Mr. Pfizer said he didn't think he'd be in a vax war with me. This ain't a war, homie. This is just a conversation. If you want to have some sort of duel, debate, have me on the podcast," said the four-time NFL MVP. "Let's do it like John Wick 4. So, we both have a second, somebody to help us out. I'm gonna take my man RFK, Jr. He can have Tony Fauci or some other pharma-crat."

Rodgers spoke about his desire and determination to play again this season, despite the odds being against him given the traditional recovery time of six to nine months for a torn Achilles.

In fact, fans saw just how dedicated the 10-time Pro Bowl star is about making it back on the field this season. Without the assistance of crutches, Rodgers took to the field before the Jets beat the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. He threw to a staff member for five minutes before throwing to cornerback Sauce Gardner, who missed Sunday’s game due to a concussion.

The quarterback told McAfee about the surgery he had on his Achilles and that he needs to be smart about his return to action. "I believe in the power of intention," he said.

"I believe in the power of your mind and the will – will power. Basically, the entire time, I kind of said this is what I’d like to do – rehab wise. Got some incredible people to work with not just the Jets."

In his time off the field, the NFL veteran has been contributing to advising the Jets, as he was doing during their shock victory on Sunday.

He was seen on a headset feeding information through to the coaches while on the sidelines as the Jets recorded their third win of the season and ended the Eagles’ undefeated streak in the process. Their rivals the New York Giants stand in the way of a fourth win and third in a row for the Jets when they do battle on Sunday.
