The Buccaneers

Inspired by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Edith Wharton’s unfinished novel of the same name, this new period drama boasts an ensemble cast including The Society’s Kristine Frøseth, 13 Reasons Why’s Alisha Boe and SAG Award-winning Mad Men star Christina Hendricks. In The Buccaneers, a group of beautiful and untameable young American girls – the daughters of America’s new rich – explode into the tightly corseted London season of the 1870s.

This kicks off an Anglo-American culture clash as the land of the stiff upper lip is infiltrated by a refreshing disregard for centuries of tradition. Sent to snare themselves an aristocrat, the buccaneers’ hearts are set on much more than that, and saying “I do” is just the beginning.

The Buccaneers premieres with a three-episode drop on Wednesday, November 8, with new episodes airing weekly.
