Khloe Kardashian took to Instagram Tuesday to share her microneedling experience and in the process revealed that she lost a lot of sensation in her face following her skin cancer scare.

The 39-year-old reality star posted a series of Instagram stories this week sharing the process of microneedling with exosomes for the first time. The Kardashians star explained the benefits of the procedure sharing that it is supposed to help improve skin texture, scars, burns, and more. The practice also helps to tighten the skin to give users a more youthful appearance reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

In the selfie videos, the mother-of-two was seen with white numbing cream on her face as she laid down with her hair slicked back to prepare for the procedure. Under the video she wrote: "When I say scar I meant to say scar AREA. I actually love scars (that may be weird to some but they are bad a** and reminders of where we have been) My indentation is what I don't love. But the scars are bad a**."

While Khloe numbed up her face for the procedure, she admitted to fans that she has difficulty feeling one side of her face even without the numbing cream. She said: "I'm really numb on this side of my face without the numbing cream. It just lot a lot of sensation and so we'll work more on that than anywhere else." She continued: "I have never done this before so I'm excited to try it and see what happens."

Khloe's scarred area comes as the Good American co-founder previously needed to have a melanoma spot removed from her cheek in October of 2022. Melanoma is one of the three major types of skin cancer and is usually curable when detected and treated early.

Ahead of the removal, she admitted that she thought that the bump was a zit for almost a year on her family's reality television show, until she had a biopsy done. She had the spot removed by Beverly Hills surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher almost exactly a year ago after which she used cosmetics injections to fill in the indentation that was left behind after the surgery.

Following the cancer scare, Khloe shared her experience with People expressing how grateful she was for her doctors and to be able to remove the spot early. She told the news outlet: “I am definitely not complaining because I would rather have an indention than melanoma any day,” and added: “I am so incredibly grateful to all the doctors who helped and continue to help me with my skin cancer journey.”
