Katherine Ryan shares plans for more plastic surgery despite 'tricky' fear

Comedian Katherine Ryan may have joked in the past about having extensive plastic surgery but in real life the star has only been under the knife once - when she was just 20 years old.

But now she's reached 40, the TV personality has revealed that she plans to have more work work done which includes liposuction and a facelift. In a recent interview the mum of three explained: "I haven't had anywhere near as much plastic surgery as I joke about. It's like Jimmy Carr started joking that I had plastic surgery and then I would just go along with it."

"It was funny. But, realistically, I'm 40 now. As I get older, why not have a facelift at some point? I think I would like it. My boobs probably need redoing. I'd like to get liposuction because they have this science now where they can take any fat from your body and use it to put it back. So, they put it in your bum or they put it in your face."

The Canadian born star had breast implants at the tender age of 20 after saving her earnings while working at the restaurant chain called Hooters. But one thing that is delaying the star from going under the knife - is her fear over choosing the wrong surgeon.

Speaking on Kathy Burke's podcast, Where There's A Will There's A Wake, Katherine continued: "I was learning that a footballer's wife sadly died doing that. Because the doctor didn't know what he was doing, and he punctured her bowel like nine times. So, I hear stories like this, and I think I'm just stupid enough to go and do it anyway. I think it's tricky to know. You think you do all your research, and you know who's above the board, but anyone can have a bad day."

In her candid chat with Kathy, famed for playing Waynetta alongside Harry Enfield, Katherine also revealed that she was left in turmoil after fearing that naked photos that she took of herself in a previous relationship, would be leaked online - after falling out with her ex.

The star, who is now married to Bobby Koostra, said: "I have an ex in particular who is very sexual. And he was always pestering me for naked photos. And I was not the kind to send, I'm very vanilla in the sack actually, I'm not adventurous, I'm not into any weird stuff, I'm not the right age for sending naked photos. "

Katherine then went on to tell Kathy: "This is like my first smartphone, I was like, ‘I don't want to take naked photos of my…’ But I took a few, after being pestered, I took a few, very tasteful nudes. I always felt like he would probably leak them, cause we're kind of enemies now, I mean."

However, her snaps have remained private which has given Katherine a lot of comfort. She continued: "We were enemies when we split up. But he never leaked them anywhere. And that gave me a lot of comfort at the time. I went, 'phew', those naked photos have never resurfaced. But now that I've had a couple of kids and I'm 40, I'm like, well, where are those photos?"
