The Haunting Warzone event start time – here's when the Halloween event launches
Warzone's The Haunting event kicks off this week, here's what time the Halloween-themed in-game event starts.
Warzone Season 6 launched late last month bringing with it a number of new weapons, a Diablo 4 crossover, new operators, and the promise of a new in-game live event called The Haunting coming mid-season as part of the Season 6 Reloaded update. And now just under three weeks later, The Haunting Warzone event is about to get underway in the Call of Duty battle royale title, with its major maps set to be plunged into darkness for the much-loved Zombie Royale mode, and much more.
Here's what time The Haunting Warzone event will go live in-game.
The Haunting Warzone event start time
Activision has confirmed via a blog post that The Haunting Warzone event will launch on Tuesday, with the in-game event set to start at 5pm BST / 1pm PDT / 10am PDT for players on all platforms. As the Halloween event is launching as part of a major content update – Season 6 Reloaded – it's likely that players will have to download a sizeable patch before being able to jump into the Halloween event.
Major Warzone updates are typically released on a Wednesday, as was the case with the Season 6 and Season 5 updates, but Season 6 Reloaded will break tradition and launch a day earlier than usual, with the update releasing the day after the Modern Warfare 3 beta goes offline.

Players on PS5 and PS4 will be able to pre-load the Warzone Season 6 Reloaded update prior to launch, but players on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S will likely have to wait until The Haunting Warzone event starts at 5pm BST / 12pm EDT / 9am PDT to begin downloading the update. But, the good news is that as soon as the update is complete, you'll be able to jump right in.
The Haunting Warzone event – what to expect
As well as a number of Halloween-themed operator skins, players can expect a number of spooky new game modes to launch for Season 6 Reloaded, with The Haunting event set to impact Warzone, including Resurgence, DMZ and Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. Here are all the new modes coming for the The Haunting Warzone event:
- Operation Nightmare (Al Mazrah)
- Vondead (Vondel – Resurgence)
- Zombie Royale (Vondel and Al Mazrah)
- Vondead Lockdown (Vondel)
Operation Nightmare will be a battle royale mode with a twist, with players having to eliminate entities at certain new POIs around the map, as well as other players, with a Mastery Weapon Blueprint up for grabs. There's a bit more mystery around the Vondead mode, with Activision saying that players will have to visit graveyards and altars and ultimately, summon a hulking demon called “The Butcher”. Players will eventually "descend into the underworld to face him in battle", with rewards on offer if he's defeated.
The popular Zombie Royale mode also returns from previous Halloween Warzone events, with players reanimated as zombies when they're eliminated and are tasked with trying to take out the players who are still fighting for the win!
