Lauren Miller Rogen spoke out about her 'terrifying' brain aneurism while at a brain health event.

The actress, who is Seth Rogen's wife, attended the UCLA Department of Neurosurgery Visionary Ball on Oct. 11 and explained to the audience that dementia ran in her family. She told the audience: "They found, of course, this sort of aneurysm in my head. So of course, this was terrifying information, and made me think of my great-grandmother, whose fate I certainly didn't want to mimic."

She admitted that she went for an MRI about five years ago with the intent to "to take a deeper look at anything that could possibly be lurking inside me that would affect my longevity." That proactive unveiled a benign aneurysm that "remained small" the doctors decided to keep tabs on it.

Thankfully, the doctors continued to monitor it and catch any issues before it was too late. She praised UCLA neurosurgeon Dr. Geoffrey Colby for his help after it began about four years after they originally found it. According to People, she said: "I'm truly endlessly grateful to Dr. Colby, his entire team, and the entire staff at UCLA who guided us through this scary experience that I'm truly grateful to have overcome... I'm truly thankful that I won't be dying at this dinner table or any others anytime soon."

According to Lauren, the doctor was able to answer any of her questions and provided support through the entire process. Thankfully, she has recovered from the health scare. Brain health continues to be a topic that both herself and her husband are incredibly passionate about. Together, they co-founded Hilarity for Charity which helps those with Alzheimer's disease.

Their philanthropic and charitable endeavor was inspired by Lauren's late mother Adele who struggled with genetic early onset Alzheimer's disease. The organization doesn't shy away from laughter as the name suggests. Seth and Lauren admitted to People that this was intentional because they use laughter to help cope. She said: "I'm lucky I live with a very funny person. And as mom said back then, I'm funny sometimes too. For us, comedy is just sort of around and is absolutely part of how we cope with things naturally, whether we're aware of it or not."
