New footage shows what started Erling Haaland's bust-up with Arsenal
New footage has emerged of the moment Erling Haaland and Kyle Walker clashed with Arsenal's set-piece coach.
The Gunners secured a statement win over Manchester City thanks to Gabriel Martinelli's late strike, which deflected off Nathan Ake's head. Tempers flared after the final whistle though, as Arsenal's win blew the Premier League title race wide open.
Haaland was seen as one of the main participants in the bust-up as players and staff from both sides kicked off. The two groups were eventually separated, with footage now emerging of exactly how the incident started.
A Sky Sports camera high up in the Arsenal stands shows Walker and Haaland walking off the pitch towards the tunnel. Gunners set-piece coach Nicolas Jover, who used to work at City, stood just off the halfway line.
As Walker left the pitch, Jover turned and walked over, offering out his hand for a handshake. Walker though, flung his arm in the air to reject the Gunners coach, with Jover appearing to aim verbals at him as he walked past.

That caused the City right-back to spin around, charge over to Jover and square up to him. Haaland also moved over to confront Jover, as staff members from both clubs also moved in to break up the trio.
Haaland, Walker and Jover continued to trade verbals even as they were separated. The Norwegian international continued to try to confront Jover, but was held back and eventually led down the tunnel.

Arsenal coach Nicolas Jover aimed verbals at Kyle Walker, which kicked off the bust-up (Sky Sports)Injured star Bukayo Saka attempting to act as peacemaker. Eventually both sides made their way down the tunnel, while City boss Pep Guardiola remained coy on the incident.
Guardiola was asked about the showdown during his post-match press conference but refused to confirm specific details. Whilst shaking his head, the Spaniard said: “I know what happened but I don’t want to say anything. They know it.”
While Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta did not open up on Haaland’s furious face-off, Sky Sports’ Gary Neville and Micah Richards had their say on the incident. The Manchester United icon joked: “Football players don’t like set-pieces on the training pitch, let alone the opposition set piece coach having a go.”
After Theo Walcott ’s prior suggestion that City were simply not used to winning, Richards replied: “It looked like he [Jover] was going to shake his hand and Kyle didn’t really want to.
“No, of course. We’re in October. If we were in March or April, I could understand frustration. They probably don’t want to go to Arsenal and lose but it’s not the end of the world.”
Former Arsenal star Walcott then offered his view on the incident. He said: “As well, we always look at Man City as being very professional and not reacting in situations and that’s where I feel like a nerve has been hit here. He’s caught it there definitely.”
