Celebrity chef shares Kevin Costner's 'picky eater' diet on Yellowstone set
The celebrity chef on the set of Yellowstone, who has also starred as the Dutton's family chef, has revealed just what he feeds the cast of the hit country drama.
The series, which stars Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly and Kevin Costner, has been a huge hit since it first premiered in 2018. The drama follows the Dutton family, who are the owners of the largest ranch in Montana - the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch.
The plot of the show revolves around family drama at the ranch and the bordering Broken Rock Indian Reservation, Yellowstone National Park, and developers.
Chef Gabriel Guilbeau originally stepped up to be behind the scenes of the TV show, before making appearances in front of the camera and appearing in twelve episodes as the Dutton family chef. Yet as the on-set chef, he's dealt with the actors diets and food habits including Kevin Costner's "picky eater" food preferences.

Harrison Ford calls co-star Helen Mirren "still sexy" and a "remarkable actress"Speaking to Delish, Chef Guilbeau - who also goes by Chef Gator - explained how it feels to be on the Yellowstone set. He said: "I figured I’d be in the background of the show, I had a camera in front of my face…so I went back to the basics and started making dinner."
The on-set chef, Guilbeau, also called out Kevin Costner's "picky eater" diet. Speaking to the publication he revealed: "Before he met me, I think [he] solely lived off of canned chili and hot dogs."
He added: "Kevin always likes to tell me he’s on a diet and off the sugar, and then he’ll ask me to make him an apple pie. In the same day, usually."
Kevin, who has played John Dutton in the series since it began five years ago, has exited the series. It was reported in May that his wife Christine Baumgartner had asked the star to quit the series in an ultimatum before she filed for divorce after 19 years of marriage. Reports claim that she gave an ultimatum to Kevin and urged him to quit Yellowstone to try and save their marriage.
She reportedly told him to leave the popular TV show because his busy work schedule was impacting their family. Kevin was reportedly "blindsided" by Christine's decision to file for a divorce.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2004, are asking for joint custody of their three children - Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 12.
Kevin's publicist, Arnold Robinson, confirmed the divorce news as he said: "It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage."
