M&S fans are delighted that the supermarket's beloved Colin the Caterpillar cake has had a 'spooky' seasonal makeover.

Dressed as a Yummy Mummy, the iconic caterpillar cake will be a great addition to any Halloween party this year, and has got himself into the Halloween spirit with his fancy dress. The much-loved chocolate sponge cake is priced at £12 and is filled with the classic chocolate buttercream, and is generously covered in a thick milk and white chocolate layer making him appear as if he's been wrapped in bandages - perfect for any Halloween plans and a classic family favourite.

It's no secret Colin loves to dress up, and over the years we've seen him dressed as "Creepy Colin" as well as "Frankencolin", a brown and green monster, decorated with chocolate nuts and bolts - sporting a spooky green face, but for this year, he's opted for his Yummy Mummy outfit.

"No celebration would be complete without Colin the Caterpillar. This year, you can invite yummy mummy Colin to the party," M&S announced on their website, launching their limited edition Halloween treats. The creamy white chocolate layer is a luxurious addition to the classic milk chocolate, but fans are reassured the classic milk chocolate layer is underneath too.

As well as the full-sized Colin, fans can also treat themselves to a five-pack of the mini "yummy mummies" to accompany Colin, the perfect finish to a Halloween feast. As spooky as it is delicious, it's also suitable for vegetarians, and even the decorations are edible too - and he has an impressive 4.1 stars on Ocado. He will be available to buy in stores from October 17. However, don't worry if the white chocolate 'Yummy Mummy' Colin the Caterpillar cake isn't for you, M&S are still selling the normal cake for £9, and for anyone looking for a cheaper alternative, Aldi is selling Cuthbert the Caterpillar cakes for £5.49.
