Crocs fans 'lose faith in humanity' as company unveils bizarre new cowboy boots

Crocs has unveiled its new Classic Cowboy Boot as the footwear company 'redefines creativity and self-expression'. To celebrate 'Croctober', the company fulfilled its fans' wishes to combine Country Music style with comfort - but not everybody is onboard with the unique style choice.

A Crocs spokesperson said: "This starts today, with the reveal of one of the most widely requested Crocs shoe designs in brand history – the Crocs Classic Cowboy Boot! For years, the buzz around a Crocs-inspired cowboy boot has been building, creating a genuine fan-fueled movement trending across social media.

"Recognising this passion, Crocs is making fan dreams come true, turning the Crocs Classic Cowboy Boot into a reality: a testament to the brand's commitment to and celebration of Croc Nation." The Crocs Classic Cowboy Boot, featuring a high shine croc-embossed texture and bold western-inspired stitching, will go on sale on October 23, a fan-created holiday recognised as Croc Day.

"The boot is embellished with unique metallic Jibbitz charms and a first-of-its-kind spin-able spur charm attached to the backstrap of the shoe," the spokesperson added. "On the rivet detail, the iconic black and white Crocs logo of Duke, the brand's beloved crocodile mascot, has gone country, sporting his very own cowboy hat."

They'll be available in selected Crocs retail stores beginning October 23 for a limited time (Crocs, Inc.)

Commenting on the footwear, one Twitter user said: "I have no more faith in humanity." Another user added: "First, the bad news: There is now such a thing as Crocs Cowboy Boots. Now, the good news: This could well be the final evidence needed as proof of my General Theory of Human Devolution! The shameful evidence."

However, others are already counting down the days until they hit the shelves, with another user saying: "I need them now." One more user added: "Make them steel toe." A fifth user asked: "But will they be available in pink?"

The Crocs Classic Cowboy Boot will be available on Crocs.com and in selected Crocs retail stores beginning October 23 for a limited time.
