Alex Scott has reportedly been dating popstar Jess Glynne for months and the two are said to be "really happy" together.

The 38-year-old sports commentator and the I'll Be There singer, 33, have been seeing each other for the last two months, a source has claimed. It was reported that the duo had been on multiple dates before and after the Women's World Cup. They also attended David and Victoria Beckham's Netflix documentary premiere afterparty.

An insider claimed: "Alex and Jess have been a slow burn and they didn’t want to rush things or go public too soon. But they’re officially an item now and seem really happy. They are both strong, independent women with a shared passion and respect of their respective careers, supporting one another from the sidelines."

The source added to The Sun that the duo met each other's friends. Mirror have contacted Jess and Alex's representatives for comment. Back in July, Jess and Alex were seen hanging out at Wimbledon. A month later, they enjoyed a pub lunch in northwest London before the Women's World Cup.

They reportedly hung out again after Alex returned from covering the football in Australia. England and Arsenal footballer Alex previously opened up about her romance with former teammate Kelly Smith. In her memoir, she revealed Kelly was her first-ever love and discussed her "heartbreak" when they broke up.

Earlier this year, she admitted she was struggling to find a partner and asked Jamie Redknapp for advice. "I remember Jamie Redknapp telling me 'There's a dating app Raya...' So I was on it but I was to scared to connect with anyone," she told Grazia at the time.

Meanwhile, Jess once said she avoids putting a label on her sexuality. Speaking to Daily Star in 2015, she said: "I’ve only ever been with one girl in my life and that’s the girl from my album. It was hard at the beginning of the relationship because until then I had only ever gone out with guys. But I am who I am.

She continued: "I’m never going to put a label on my sexuality and people should never feel uncomfortable about who they love." Jess explained the reason she chose to be honest with her fans about her personal life. "I wanted my album to be as honest as possible. I’ve laid all my cards on the table and gave the truth," she said.

"There was never a question of hiding the story behind it. I pray one day we get to a point where it’s no longer a thing."
