"I grew up with nothing. After signing that contract, the first person I called was my mom. We both cried.'" Koepka reunited with the Thomas and Spieth at last week's Ryder Cup as teammates, 16 months on from his JP McManus Pro-Am rant.

It was a week to forget the Americans, as they were defeated by their European rivals 16.5-11.5 at Marco Simone, their seventh-straight defeat on away soil. Koepka however has already turned his attentions back to LIV, as he heads to Saudi next week to defend his Jeddah crown at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club.

Looking ahead to the event, he told LIV Golf: ""Jeddah was a really meaningful win last year, so it's going to be special to be back.Going head-to-head in a playoff against Peter [Uihlein], who was my Smash teammate at the time, and getting both the individual and team win was something I'll always remember in my career. It was a huge turning point for my game and gave me a ton of momentum and confidence heading into 2023. I'm excited to get back there, especially as the returning champ."
