Panorama will air a special episode about fashion brand Abercrombie & Fitch on the BBC tonight. The TV investigation is expected to make claims that its ex-CEO allegedly exploited men recruited to sex events he hosted around the world.

A synopsis that has appeared on BBC iPlayer this afternoon says the show is: "Panorama investigates allegations of exploitation and abuse at the top of one of the biggest fashion brands in the US."

It named former CEO Mike Jeffries - who transformed Abercrombie and Fitch "from a failing retail chain to a multi-billion dollar empire and the epitome of cool" - as the subject of its investigation.

The first seven episodes of the ten-part podcast series, World of Secrets: Season One – The Abercrombie Guys, will be available on BBC Sounds from 9pm this evening.

The BBC state they made repeated attempts by letter, email, and phone over several weeks to contact Mr Jeffries, inviting them to respond to a detailed list of allegations. The BBC state they have not yet received a response.

The only details shared by the BBC at the time of the announcement last week were a very general overview of what Panorama is as a series. The BBC stated last week: "In-depth current affairs report covering a story behind the headlines."

While the official BBC page dedicated to Panorama simply stated that the next episode would be a "special" edition of the investigative documentary.

The long-running British current affairs documentary programme has been on air since 1953 and has blown the lid off major scandals over the years - including investigating Scientology, exposing sex crimes within the Vatican, and uncovering abuse within the care system.
