Kerry Katona suffering 'emotional breakdowns' as she seeks therapy for PTSD
Kerry Katona revealed she's been having a lot of panic attacks that her doctor believed to be due to her post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The former Atomic Kitten singer, 43, previously opened up about having PTSD – which she said was due to her three failed marriages. She was married to singer Brian McFadden from 2002 to 2006, who cheated on her, taxi driver Mark Croft from 2007 to 2011, who blew through her fortune as she battled a cocaine addiction and George Kay from 2014 to 2017, who she said abused her and later died in 2019 after a drugs overdose.
The star took to her column to admit she couldn't breathe and had emotional breakdowns. "I’ve not been feeling great this week – I’ve been having a lot of panic attacks. I don’t know what’s going on. I’ve had them before but not like this. I feel like I can’t breathe and then I have this emotional breakdown," she said.

My CBD gummies and oil has been helping with the panic attacks a lot, but I’m going to go to therapy for it because, while I’m a strong person, I’m not ashamed to ask for help."
In 2021, Kerry revealed the traumatic experiences in her marriage left her with PTSD. Kerry told the Daily Star at the time: "I've definitely got post-traumatic stress from my marriages. Especially from my last marriage – we never got divorced me and George – I couldn't think of anything worse than getting married again."

But after she met her fiancé Ryan Mahoney she decided she was ready to get married again. "He's completely changed everything," Kerry said. "We're all entitled to be happy and we all deserve to be loved no matter what. Everyone deserves a happy ever after. But it's taken me a long time to realise that."
Kerry has been open about her personal life and recently revealed her plans to have children with Ryan. She said it would be 'a miracle' if the pair had a baby together. Although Kerry recently revealed that she is in no rush to marry Ryan, she recently shared her hopes of eloping to Las Vegas and tying the knot with her beau in the iconic US city.
She opened up about her future baby plans with Ryan as she admitted that if she got pregnant, she would 'go along with it', but she doesn't see it happening for the couple in the near future. "He's still not taken me up the aisle. If I were to get pregnant, and I'm not trying to, it would be a miracle but I would go along with it. I don't think that's going to happen though," she said.
"I probably am going to get my eggs frozen and we'll p*** off to Las Vegas with just the children to get married," Kerry said. "Ryan's not a 'show-boaty' kind of guy anyway."
