Inside Natalie Portman’s turbulent marriage - from Hollywood meeting to affair
Natalie Portman might have known her role in Black Swan would win her an Oscar, but she might not have realised she found her husband there and the scandal that would come years later.
The actress met Benjamin Millepeid on the set of the 2009 movie. Benjamin is a professional dancer and choreographer, and he was hired to choreograph the film. Natalie portrayed the lead character, Nina.
She later said she fell in love with the Frenchman when he taught her to dance. During a SiriusXM Town Hall interview, Natalie said: "I met my husband on it, so I think I was in, like, dreamland … We had a whole, like, he was teaching me to dance. You know, one of those romantic [stories]."

In December of 2010 the couple announced they were engaged and expecting their first child together. In a statement, the actress said: "I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience."

On June 14, 2011, Natalie gave birth to their first child, a son Aleph. A year later in August, the couple tied the knot in a Jewish ceremony in Big Sur, California.
Benjamin got a job as the director of the Paris Opera Ballet in 2014, and the couple and their young son moved to the French capitol. They moved back to Los Angeles two years later.
In September of 2016, Natalie and Benjamin announced they were expecting their second child. On February 22, 2017, they welcomed their daughter Amalia.

Benjamin reportedly had an affair with a 25-year-old woman (Getty Images for ELLE)Everything seemed to be going great between the two, and the couple celebrated ten years of marriage in 2022. But then a year later, sources claimed that something scandalous rocked their marriage.
In June, French news outlet Voici reported that Benjamin cheated on Natalie with a 25-year-old climate activist. The 46-year-old dancer reportedly knew he made "an enormous mistake and he is doing all he can to get Natalie to forgive him and keep their family together," according to a source who spoke to People.
The state of their relationship is unclear, but reports say that the couple have separated. But they seem to be trying their best to co-parent.
The two were spotted at the FIFA Women's World Cup Final with their son in August. Recently the couple were seen without their wedding rings walking their two children, now twelve and six, to school in France.
