Tamzin Outhwaite lost 'many babies' before shaman cured her of miscarriage agony
Traumatised Tamzin Outhwaite says she lost 'many babies' during her life and needed a shaman to cure the actress of her miscarriage agony.
The former EastEnders star has candidly opened up about one of the most difficult periods in her life and says she used the pain to help her in roles ever since. She endured the pain of losing a number of unborn children and some years on says she is finally coming to terms with it.
Tamzin, who shares children Flo and Marnie with her former husband Tom Ellis spoke about the heeling process as she attempts to help others. The mum, Melanie Owen on the BBC soap, has set up We Free Women to offer retreats to others who are struggling.
She says it did her the power of good with the trauma healing treatment at the Preidlhof spa retreat in Italy earlier this year changing her life. Telling MailOnline, she said: "It was transformative. I had a trauma healing session with a shaman who didn’t know anything about my baby losses. But he held his hands over my womb and I apologised for falling asleep.
"But he said, “You weren’t asleep, you were shaking all the way through.” I felt like there was a huge shift. It cleared something. I was a different person - I was pre-baby or getting over having a baby or having had a miscarriage. There was a big chunk of time where, hormonally, I wasn’t myself. I’m still on the road to self-discovery but I’m in a much better place."
John Legend talks about sentimental family link to his newborn daughter's nameIt helped with other issues, too. Tamzin wed fellow actor Tom in 2006, and the couple welcomed their two daughters before sadly splitting in 2013. It was reported Tamzin and her husband parted ways after the Lucifer star allegedly confessed to having an affair with Australian actress Emilie de Ravin when they worked on the US TV show Once Upon a Time in 2013.
Now, the 52-year-old has claimed she’s uncovering “more infidelities and lies that he committed”, and took to Twitter to share the allegations. “Ten years since the father of my kids walked out on us for the final time. I still meet new people on jobs who reveal more infidelities and lies that he committed,” Tamzin wrote. “But thankfully my heart and soul are clear and clean and I could not be happier right now,” she added earlier this year.
However, she soon deleted the post and apologised for “triggering” any of her followers who were going through similar heartache. “Thank you all for your messages re my now deleted tweet. I was marking the 10 year anniversary with pride, a feeling of triumph & genuine gratitude,” Tamzin explained.
“I understand it has triggered some people. For anyone struggling, the most important relationship you will ever have is with yourself,” she wrote. Tamzin previously addressed their split in 2015, and suggested the infidelity was a long-term relationship rather than a fling. I wouldn't not be with my husband over a one-night stand is all I'll say,” she told Essentials magazine.
