Corrie's Nicola Thorp pregnant with first child baby with famous actor fiancé
Former Coronation Street star Nicola Thorp is pregnant with her first child.
The actress who was known for playing Nicola Rubinstein on the Manchester-based soap has been in a relationship with Nikesh Patel since 2021 and their romance appears to be going from strength to strength, seven months after the pair became engaged. Taking to Instagram, the TalkTV presenter was glowing as she and her Starstuck star fiancé posed alongside one another.
Writing alongside the upload, Nicola penned: "Some news." Her post which has been liked over 6,000 times was soon flooded with messages of congratulations from fans and celebrity pals. Countryfile star Anita Rani said: "Aaahhh!! This is beautiful. Congratulations."
"Awwww congrats both!!! Amazing news," added Scarlette Douglas. Meanwhile, Simon Lennon penned: "Congratulations!!" alongside two heart emojis. One follower added: "Congratulations. I clocked that bump weeks ago. You look fabulous."
Nicola, who recently announced she was joining TalkTV alongside soon-to-be dad Jeremy Kyle opted to wear a fitting pink dress for her reveal, which wrapped perfectly around her blossoming baby bump. Nicola, 34, opted for a tanned make-up look which boosted her already glowing complexion, while her brunette locks were swept back off of her face.

In one snap, she cradled her belly as she and Nikesh laughed out loud before another showed the pair wrapping their arms around one another in a loved-up display. But Nicola revealed that pregnancy isn't always hunky dory as she shared a screenshot of WhatsApp messages shared between herself and Nikesh.
Messages from Nicola to her husband read: "Bab... My t**s are leaking. You did this to me," before he responded with a confused emoji. But Nicola is set to be busier than ever as she prepares to take on another huge job as a full-time presenter.
She, along with Jeremy Kyle will be the face of TalkTV's latest programme, Talk Today – airing every day. But Nicola will be on the show Monday to Thursday between 6am and 9.30am. Discussing her new career venture, she said: "It's a dream come true to be co-hosting the brand-new breakfast show Talk Today.
"I've been part of the TalkTV family for the past 18 months, during which time I've connected with people who have challenged my opinions and taught me how to find common ground across the political divide. I'm looking forward to hearing from our viewers all over the UK about what matters most to them and holding politicians to account. It’s important to both me and Jeremy that everyone gets a voice."
