An influencer told his girlfriend off her not 'doing her jobs' around the house - and it's caused a fierce debate online. After the honeymoon period of a relationship has ended, it isn’t uncommon for arguments about household duties to arise. Every couple experiences highs and lows in their relationships, so conflicts are inevitable. However, to ensure marital bliss, patience and open communication are required.

Dating for over a year, YouTube star Ethan Payne believes his girlfriend Faith Kelly hasn't been pulling her weight around the house. The couple have been together since 2021 and have since gone on to welcome their little girl, Olive. They often take to their weekly podcast Growing Paynes, which sees the couple discuss all aspects of life, relationships and parenting. And one of their latest conversations has caused quite a stir, with Ethan - who is also a member of the YouTube group The Sidemen with stars like KSI - appearing to criticise his partner for not 'doing her jobs'.

"He just said I didn't do my jobs anymore... which is cleaning," Faith said in the episode, to which Ethan argued: "It's not just cleaning! I feel like in the last two weeks or so, there's been an unfair shift on what we've been doing." Faith wasn't going to take that lying down though, as she went on to point out that while his two jobs are to empty the dishwasher and take out the bins, she does 'seven loads of washing, folding, put everything away each night, cook dinner, feed Olive, give her a bath and put her to bed'.

She said that after she's done all of this, she will often Ethan 'sitting on the sofa scratching on his b*lls' while she continues to tidy up and put away Olive's things. Ethan made an attempt to defend himself by claiming that he 'doesn't get a thank you' for tidying up and Faith will often tidy up after him again once he's done. While the couple made light of the situation, people online weren't impressed at all.

"Yeah, it's not looking good. This ain't gonna last," one person commented. "You have your long-term partner sitting there, telling you how much housework they do (including looking after your child) and how comparatively little you do, and your reaction is to critique them on their performance over the last 2wks, like you’re their manager," said another. A third added: one even said: "I genuinely do not understand how people don’t leave their partners when they are like this..."

This isn't the first time Ethan has found himself in controversy, as previously, he insisted that he wants Faith to take his surname if they marry, as 'that's how it should be done'. He explained he'd see Faith as only 'half his wife' if she took his name as well as her own.
