Strictly Come Dancing star Amanda Abbington's fiancé Jonathan Goodwin stirred up rumours of a potential feud with a clue on Instagram.

The Sherlock and Mr Selfridge star was recently forced to hit back at claims she nearly quit the show following alleged rows with her professional partner Giovanni Pernice. Her message followed reports from earlier this month that she wasn’t impressed with Giovanni’s “strict and aggressive style” and almost walked out.

She called the rumours "nonsense" and insisted things were "all good" between them. And now, fuel was added to the fire when it was noticed Amanda's partner Jonathan wasn't following Giovanni on social media and vice versa. However, Jonathan previously shared a snap of her dancing on the show as he praised her. Giovanni and Amanda recently addressed the rumours on It Takes Two.

Host Janette Manrara asked: “You’re getting along like a house on fire in rehearsals, right?” Amanda told the host they “laugh a lot” and “have the same sense of humour”. She continued: "We’re having a great time." Giovanni added: "We do have a good time. But at the same time it’s a difficult process."

"Especially for people who have never done Strictly before. I always say it’s a marathon, not a sprint. The first few weeks, it is difficult. It’s a lot of hours to train, it’s a lot of hours you have to concentrate.” Meanwhile, Amanda's recent video statement had her wearing a jacket which said ‘who cares what other people think’.

She told viewers: “Because who does care what other people think, there’s a life lesson.” She went on to say she was “very excited and very, very nervous, but it’s all fun”. Seeming to address the feud claims, the 49-year-old said she was: “Ignoring the bulls***, because clearly people are t****.”

Turning the air blue with a sweary rant, Amanda added: “Just stop it, stop it, grow up. No one gives a s***. Shut up, it’s b****cks, so f*** off. You know who I’m talking to as well. Come on, jog on, it’s nonsense and you know it’s nonsense. It’s all good.”

Giovanni, who had several run-ins with past partners before, also took to social media to reassure fans that he and Amanda would still be dancing. The 33-year-old Italian posted on Instagram : "I usually don't say those things early (as everybody know) but I'm extremely proud of you [Amanda] and I can't wait for people to watch we have created."
