EastEnders star says Brian Conley exit will be 'huge loss' as he reacts to news
EastEnders star Max Bowden has shared his "sadness" over co-star Brian Conley quitting the soap, as he praised the Rocky Cotton actor.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror at the Inside Soap Awards, Ben Mitchell star Max said Brian's departure was "a huge loss" to the cast and the show. Discussing Brian's decision to leave after almost three years, Max shared his love for the TV star ahead of his exit airing on the BBC soap.

He told us: "I love Brian Conley, I am very, very sad. With what we do you see it happen all the time, people come and people go and it's either down to personal circumstance or people wanting to try other things.
"Brian is an incredibly successful man, and he will go on to smash whatever he does next. It's gonna be a huge loss to us, I'm sure he's doing the right thing by him and I wish him all the best." "I made it for many reasons, this decision, and it's tough because they're such a wonderful crowd. In front of the cameras and behind the cameras, I've loved my three years there. So that's the truth in the reports! There's other parts of the reports saying that I 'clashed' with TV bosses and the crew. I didn't 'clash' with anyone, I didn't have a rant."
He went on: "I've gone with their [EastEnders'] blessings at the , I'm excited about the future and where it's going to go. I'm also excited about Rocky's exit... as I know it's good! So I'm sending you much love, all the EastEnders fans, and yeah... enough said!"
