I've been telling all of my friends how excited I am for the change in weather as I'm starting to see pumpkin inspired everything and my scarves can finally come back into my wardrobe. But with the cooler months also come beautiful shop displays and I rushed straight out to John Lewis when I heard their Christmas display had been launched.

At first I couldn't find it and felt quite disappointed but I followed the sound of music and felt like I'd walked into a winter wonderland when I came across a myriad of Christmas trees donning the most gorgeous decorations.

I was positively giddy as I looked around the selection and it honestly had me wondering when is acceptable to put up a Christmas tree and which colour I should buy.

There's a gorgeous selection of baubles in a wide variety of styles, my favourites were the Christmas Cottage Festive Faux Fur Dog Tree Decoration and the Winter Fairytale Moon Santa Bauble.

The tree decorations available at John Lewis vary in price from £2 right up to £200 which, thankfully completely irradicates the narrative of John Lewis' offering being a little more expensive than other retailers. The product line is still so luxurious yet, the majority of their quite eccentric bauble collections are really reasonably priced.

You can pick up individual ones, which I think are a great option for gifts or to just buy one to mark the year with, and then there are also sets you can grab. The trees in store looked absolutely stunning when they're all made up. It has me feeling so festive already.

In terms of Christmas scents, there were so many. There are candles shaped like Christmas trees and perhaps most excitingly mugs filled with a Christmassy scent that can then live a second life in your kitchen. I think this is great in terms of reducing waste as so often jars and containers just end up in the bin.

I was also impressed with the Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla selection which reminded me of a similar range from Bath & Body Works but much cheaper at £5 instead of £23.50. The cold throw isn't huge from the candles but it's a really nice scent and I imagine once lit it would fill a room.

It didn't stop there, there are Christmassy mugs dolled up as Rudolph or Father Christmas that are really festive. The entire range will quite easily get any Grinch in the spirit of things, and some items were also so reasonably priced too considering the incredible quality of what was on offer.

You can shop the full John Lewis range online.
