EastEnders' Ross Kemp looks very different on GMB with head of hair

Ross Kemp looked extremely different as he sported hair while appearing on Good Morning Britain.

The former EastEnders star was on the ITV breakfast programme to discuss his upcoming book, Take Nothing For Granted: Tales From An Unexpected Life, as he shared some secrets from his career. But while on the programme alongside Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard, Ross looked very different to how he usually appears.

The hardman who became known for playing Grant Mitchell has been known to millions for his baldness but one unearthed snap of him in his younger days saw him rocking a full head of hair. Ross, 59, also revealed his secret on how he managed to get more money out of BBC bosses during his EastEnders days.

As he discussed the tales from his upcoming memoir, the programme showed a picture of the actor playing rugby in his earlier years and he looked extremely different. The actor could be seen sporting a whole head of dark hair as he and his team battled to win the match. Meanwhile, another snap of Ross saw him rocking a bouffant in a snap taken shortly after he left drama school.

Elsewhere, Susanna quizzed Ross on his decision to "top up his earnings" with a secret plot to make him appear in more scenes on EastEnders than he had been scripted for by creeping into other scenes. He explained: "If you were doing three days in the Vic, which you would normally do, I would normally be standing back.

"I'd work out that I was not in the middle episode that they were shooting that day and obviously cameras like the one pointing at me now has a red light on top of it when it's recording. So I got on very well with the camera guys and I'd say 'Is this episode 235 and not episode 234 or 233' and they'd go 'Yes', I'm not in that one, well I am now'."

He continued: "Big Ron, er pint and pork scratchings was it? Ok, mate, I'll be back in a second. Episode fee. They soon cottoned on to me I'll have to say." Ben responded: "Did they? So there's a bit of improv in there as well?" Grant explained: "Oh totally." In his new book, Ross explained that his toughest job is being a parent to his four children.

The presenter spends a lot of time away from his kids in order to film his brutal documentaries and has now spoken of the impact this has on him. He writes: "I don't expect sympathy. You can't come back and moan about the conditions in a prison when she (Renee) has been doing two jobs — one being a mum and the other being a lawyer.

"If I wanted sympathy and looked for it I don't think I would get very much — so there is no point in asking. Also, when you get critiqued for bringing the wrong socks by your twin daughters, it's like, OK... I say it in the book, you think my job is hard but the hardest job you will ever do is being a parent. There is no road map — nothing is ever perfectly right. You can read all the books in the world but your child will not be the one that is in that book."

Ross shares three children with his second wife Renee O'Brien and has a son from a previous relationship.
