Arsenal's Carabao Cup campaign starts on Wednesday, as they travel to Brentford for a tough London derby.

The Gunners haven't won the competition since 1993, when George Graham's side defeated Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 in the final at the old Wembley. Arsenal have lost three League Cup finals to Chelsea, Birmingham and Manchester City since their last triumph.

Brentford, meanwhile, have never won the League Cup. Their best effort was three seasons ago, when they lost 2-0 to Tottenham in a one-legged tie. The Bees have never won a major competition in their 133-year history, losing three Football League Trophy finals.

Although Arsenal's trophy cabinet is much bigger than Brentford's, it'll be a very even tie on Wednesday. Yet the game won't be televised live in the UK. Here's why...

Why isn't Brentford vs Arsenal on TV?

Brentford vs Arsenal isn't on TV because it hasn't been selected by Sky Sports.

As per their current deal, Sky Sports can show 15 live Carabao Cup games each season. This means they can televise only one of Wednesday's nine games. Newcastle vs Man City will be shown live by Sky Sports, with the game starting at 8pm.

Brentford vs Arsenal isn't the only game to be snubbed by Sky Sports. Chelsea vs Brighton and Liverpool vs Leicester, among others, will also not be televised live in the UK due to Sky Sports' current agreement with the English Football League (EFL).

Yet fans will be pleased to know that Sky Sports' existing deal with the EFL, who organise the Carabao Cup, expires at the end of this season. They have agreed a new five-year deal, which will see EVERY Carabao Cup game televised live on Sky Sports.

How can I follow Brentford vs Arsenal?

Live radio commentary of the game will be available on talkSPORT. Fans can listen via their smart speaker, the talkSPORT app, on DAB digital radio and on 1089 or 1053 AM. Highlights of the game will be available on Sky Sports and social media, including YouTube.

Which teams are still in the Carabao Cup?

Holders Manchester United breezed into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup by beating Premier League rivals Crystal Palace 3-0 at Old Trafford on Tuesday. Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro and Anthony Martial all scored for Erik ten Hag' side.

Yet there were some shocks on Tuesday, as League One Exeter defeated Luton 1-0 at home. Fellow Premier League side Wolves also suffered a defeat on the road, with high-flying Championship side Ipswich beating them 3-2 at Portman Road.

Middlesbrough, Mansfield, Port Vale and Burnley have also secured their spot in the next round. The other fixtures taking place on Wednesday are Aston Villa vs Everton, Blackburn vs Cardiff, Bournemouth vs Stoke, Fulham vs Norwich and Lincoln vs West Ham.
