The stark contrast in levels of intimacy within Kanye's relationships could point to signs of issues within his marriage, according to an expert

As Julia Fox revealed her lack of sexual relations with ex-boyfriend Kanye West contrasting his very current racy displays of affection with his wife Bianca Censori, one relationship expert weighs in on the potential reality of what is really happening behind the scenes.

In Julia's upcoming memoir, set to be released on October 10, she reportedly reveals the intimate details of her brief relationship with Kanye - whom fans have assumed is "the artist" she refers to throughout her book. The Uncut Gems actress claimed to the New York Times that the couple never partook in sexual relations during their brief romance despite their smitten appearance when seen together.

Senior therapist and relationship expert Sally Baker from Working On The Body spoke exclusively to The Mirror sharing that she believes Kanye's current very public exaggerated displays of affection with his new wife Bianca could be a way to "overcompensate" for issues within their relationship or as a means to live up to his "masculine" reputation he has created for himself.

Sally explained: "When smoke and mirrors are used to disguise what a celebrity wants the public to believe vs the reality of what is happening there are potentially many reasons to disguise reality," she continued: "Exaggerated public displays of affection can convey confidence, virility, and popularity and be used to conceal relationship problems or personal insecurities - grand displays of affection could be a way to overcompensate for issues brewing privately in the relationship. It helps keep up appearances."

This analysis comes as Kanye and Bianca shared a racy PDA session, which saw the rapper accidentally flash his bum to a crowd of tourists as he was getting frisky with his wife in broad daylight on a riverboat in Italy. This, in addition to claims that Kanye is "controlling" Bianca and encouraging her to wear revealing clothing in public, are just a few examples of this exaggerated public behaviour. Sally theorises that this need for attention and theatrics is due to. the "pressure" the rapper has to live up to and exceed how people expect him to act.

Sally said: "West may have felt compelled to perform love and masculinity in stereotypical ways and to embody an idealised fantasy that was expected of him. His public persona almost demands he roleplays an exaggerated version of love or manhood that satisfies some psychological or emotional need, even if it's not completely genuine."

The relationship expert goes on to explain that these actions could be Kanye trying to "convince himself" of the depth of his feelings within his relationship with Bianca. Sally goes on to point out that just because the couple are putting on these grand displays of affection in public, there could be a disconnect between their public and private behaviour.

Sally explained: "This could have originated from his insecurity, the pressure of who the public think he is to behave in certain ways. It could also be his desire to manipulate impressions - even if his motives were not fully conscious. There are many complex psychological drivers behind our performances of love and sexuality."

The expert goes on to add that unless ex partners disclose what happened within their relationship together, nobody truly knows what happens behind closed doors. Sally concludes maybe the rapper wasn't "confident" that he could put his trust in Julia which is why he was withholding from intimacy, adding: "His hunch about her was probably right."
