Emmerdale villain's return confirmed as they target Chas Dingle in revenge twist

Emmerdale spoilers have revealed the return of a villain in a huge new revenge plot, as Chas Dingle finds herself at risk.

Spoilers for next week's episodes reveal Chas gets to know a newcomer named Simon amidst her heartbreak over her split from husband Paddy Kirk. As things get too much for her she heads out for a drink, only to bump into a man who introduces himself to her as Simon. One thing leads to another and they end up back at The Woolpack, in Chas' home.

But Simon isn't who he says he is and it soon becomes clear he is targeting Chas and other villagers following recent events. Viewers will know from the off that Simon is in fact gangster Harry, who recently had Chas' brother Caleb Miligan attacked and left for dead.

Viewers will have seen Harry make his debut last month, with Caleb unaware that his car firm employee Corey was up to no good. Corey was secretly helping Harry with dodgy dealings and illegal parcel drop-offs with items including guns being stored at the firm. Caleb's nephew Nate Robinson found out and while briefly he kept quiet, he soon told his uncle Caleb leading to a confrontation. Harry and his thugs had Caleb beaten up and they left him for dead.

Harry has been AWOL ever since amid speculation Caleb and Nate's dad Cain Dingle will be seeking revenge on him. But it seems Harry is one step ahead, and he's back in the village in their absence. Simon approaches Chas, while it's not clear initially if he knows who she is.

That said, he gives a fake name so he is clearly up to no good. The pair begin to flirt as he buys her a drink, and find themselves bonding over their late children, with it being the anniversary of Chas' daughter Grace's death. As they head home together, Chas suddenly changes her mind and tells Simon him returning with her was a mistake.

As Chas heads upstairs though she has no idea she is being targeted and Harry is after something. He soon begins searching the room before staring coldly at a photograph of Caleb and Chas on the side. It's clear he's not done with Caleb and the Dingles, and is targeting Chas - but what has he got planned?
