Designed by world-renowned artist, Clym Evernden, the spectacular Beauty Advent Calendar even includes some cult icons, rising stars as well as exclusive, never-before-seen launches. So is this calendar really worth spending your hard-earned cash on this year? Well our Beauty Editor, Sarah Bradbury, was let loose on one - to give you a little peep inside, and she even picked out some of her favourite products that she thinks you’ll love. Or even better, why not regift some of the products to friends and family as little stocking fillers!

“Now feast your eyes on this! How gorgeous? Based on the legendary London store, the box alone is something that’s a feast for the eyes - let alone the products inside. You could refill it year after year with little treats for your housemates, partner or even kids.

“I literally squealed with excitement after seeing some of my favourite brands inside - from Le Labo to REN, Sunday Riley to Byredo, Davines to Rose Inc and so much more! There’s even a 15ml Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream - which is loved by Victoria Beckham and Kim Kardashian.

“As for my favourite products this year? Well I have to start with the Stately Bouquet Cashmere Woods candle. I’m obsessed with Liberty candles and this mini one will be burning shortly - or I might be nice and give it to my sister this year.

“Christmas can be a stressful time for many, so my second pick was the travel size Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Roller Ball. As soon as I got it out of the calendar, I had to apply it to my pulse points and enjoy the moment of calm.

“Third is an obvious choice, Le Labo Rose 31 Liquid Balm. The 9ml size is perfect for your handbag and touch-ups of fragrance on the go. And if you think it’s going to be overly floral or smell like something your Grandparent would spray, you’d be completely wrong.

“Forth is from hair legend Larry King, and his Spoilt For Choice Hair Oil with Rosemary. This multi-use product can be used as a hair mask, scalp remedy or for adding a little moisture before or after styling your hair over the festive period.

“My fifth and final pick is Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. This powerful skincare saviour will help unclog and shrink enlarged pores, as well as smoothing and evening out your skin tone too - leaving you with the prefect base pre-makeup application. Just make sure you follow up with a sunscreen as using acids like this can make you more prone to sunburn - which is a big no no.

“With a healthy balance of hair, skin, makeup, accessories and the rest - I think this calendar is perfect for any skincare fanatics out there that are obsessed with the department store, or want to try something they usually wouldn’t want to pick up because of the price point, then this is the one for them.”

Of course, as we still don’t know how much this advent calendar will be, there are some pretty affordable options out there - so no one has to miss out on getting their hands on an exciting option this year.

The one from Marks and Spencer is just £40 when you spend £35 in store, it contains PIXI, Benefit, Murad, This Works, NUXE and REN to name a few - plus the L’Occitane, Shay & Blue and Philip Kingsley. Revolution have launched a Beauty Advent for £48 that contains 25 days of products that will make sure you look super glam throughout the party season. And sticking with the makeup and skincare theme, LookFantastic’s for £99 contains some pretty impressive brands too - and it’s worth over £560!
