Cyberpunk 2077's long-awaited Phantom Liberty expansion releases on Tuesday, here's the exact time you'll want to head back into Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is the first major expansion to CD Projekt Red's follow-up to The Witcher 3. The expansion also acts as a fresh start to the title which was – to put it politely – a hot mess at launch. Now, just under 3 years later, Cyberpunk 2077 is where it needs to be thanks to the Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update, which was released last week.

But update 2.0 was merely a starter, as the main course – Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty – releases this week. The expansion takes V to a brand new area in the underbelly of Night City known as Dogtown, becoming embroiled in a secret agent thriller alongside newcomer Solomon Reed (played by Luther himself, Idris Elba). Given CD Projekt Red's track record with expansions for The Witcher, this expansion won't be one to miss.

CD Projekt Red has released a handy release time image on Twitter which reveals that, unlike most games with simultaneous launch across all platforms, the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty release time is different depending on whether you're on a console or PC.

On PC, the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty release time is at the same time worldwide, while on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the expansion will release at 12am in your region. Basically, it's good news for PC Players in North America and South America, and good news for console players in Europe and Oceania.

For players on PC, the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty release time is set for Tuesday, September 26 at12am BST, or Monday,September 25 at7pm EDT / 4pm PDT. This time is the same whether you are playing the game on Steam or GOG.

PS5 and Xbox Series X|S release time

For players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty release time is set for Tuesday, September 26 at 12am in every region. That means 12am BST / 12am EDT / 12am PDT on Tuesday, September 26. This means that players in the UK and Australia will get a head start on consoles compared to the US.
