Strictly Come Dancing returned this evening for its first live show - and we've got our first leaderboard for 2023!

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman were back to host the first live show of the series and whilst tonight, the public won't be able to vote for their favourites, the judges did have a say on the different contestants.

Tonight, Anton du Beke, Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood and head judge Shirley Ballas returned to give their verdicts on this year's 15 contestants, as the celebrities battled it out with a variety of dances to kick off the competition.

On the first live show, Layton and Nikita did a Samba to Touch by Little Mix, Angela and Kai danced the Cha Cha to Get The Party Started by Shirley Bassey, Bobby and Dianne did a Foxtrot to All About You by McFly whilst Jody and Jowita performed a Quickstep to I’m Sitting on Top of the World by Bobby Darin. Angela and Carlos did a Tango to Prisoner by Miley Cyrus featuring Dua Lipa.
