Biden branded 'old fart' as Marjorie Taylor Greene is called a hypocrite
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene earned backlash as she took to social media to brand President Joe Biden an "old fart."
The far-right politician - who once heckled Biden in his State of Union address - responded to a tweet by saying it was time to "ban assault weapons" amid ongoing division in the US and Congress over gun restrictions. "Whatever you old fart," Greene responded. "We are electing a new President. Turning 45 into 47."
It comes amid comments after comments were made by Greene about how members of Congress should act when they are in Washington DC. She objected to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's adjusting of the chamber’s informal dress code after criticism of Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman's attire.

Fetterman bit back, saying "Thankfully, the nation’s lower chamber lives by a higher code of conduct: displaying ding-a-ling pics in public hearings."

Fetterman's comment referenced the time she displayed images of Biden's son Hunter in a House hearing. Greene also spoke at a white nationalist event last year.
This week, Greene said "GOD BLESS THIS MAMA!!!!! I stand with her!!!" while reacting to a clip an angry parent appearing to tear down a Pride flag draped over a US map in a classroom. The clip, in which a person cold be heard lambasting the flag and throwing it in the bin, was "openly fake."
“I am not paying my tax money to support this type of —” the mother says in what was a skit. "We are paying you to teach history, and that’s what you need to be teaching."

Biden said Friday he was determined to stop gun violence in the US and launched the first-ever federal office to be dedicated to uncovering solutions and supporting communities ravaged by shootings, which will be led by Vice President Kamala Harris.
"After every mass shooting, we hear a simple message ... do something. Please do something," he said. "My administration has been working relentlessly to do something."
In order to tighten restrictions or pass a ban on so-called “assault weapons", Congress would need to pass legislation. This remains unlikely.
