This three-bed home is selling for £325,000 - but what's behind a bedroom curtain will shock you. The "beautiful" semi-detached home near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, has a well-kept front garden, manicured lawn, and a spacious garage.

The home boasts solar panels, a lounge diner and a decked-out kitchen. The only bathroom is fitted with a walk-in shower, loo, and basin downstairs. The upstairs consists of a carpeted master bedroom and two smaller rooms.

But eagle-eyed home hunters were quick to spot a white toilet nestled between a chest of drawers and a wardrobe in the main bedroom. There is no door to shut if off from the rest of the room and only a flimsy shower-like curtain for privacy

The home is in the sleepy village of Barrow and is being sold by Day and Knight Property on Rightmove. Local Josh Pearson said he'd seen some "shockers" on Rightmove in his time but this was "right up there with the worst of 'em". Another, called Ben, quipped the loo would be handy while playing computer games in bed. He said: "Every gamers' dream".

The estate agent makes no mention of the unusual bedroom addition in the ad but says there is an "opportunity to add an ensuite" in the main bedroom.

The property listing reads: “Located in the desirable village of Barrow and offering extensive external space, this property is ideal if you are looking for a home for a growing family. Stepping into the spacious hallway, you have access to the whole of the ground floor, with the lounge/diner situated to the left.

“Flooded with natural light from the window and patio doors, this room offers ample space for furniture, and with access to the garden, this provides a connection between the two areas, ideal when you have children. The bathroom is placed downstairs, and this benefits from a walk-in shower, with neutral panels and tiling.

“You will find a fully fitted kitchen at the rear, offering plenty of base units for storage, space for appliances and room for a dining table and chairs. Rising to the first floor are three double bedrooms off the landing, with the master presenting the opportunity to add an ensuite.”

It adds: “Placed on a quiet road and set back, the property offers a low maintenance frontage, with a driveway to the side leading to the detached garage. To the rear, you will find the large garden, which has been well-kept over the years, with a range of mature trees, plants and shrubs; it is beautiful.
