Strictly Come Dancing's Dan Walker has reunited with former partner Nadiya Bychkova after she vented her disappointment at failing to get a celeb partner on the new series.

The pair attended the L'Atelier Robuchon Grand Opening Party in Mayfair together on Thursday. Channel 5 News presenter Dan was looking very dapper for the occasion in a purple suit jacket with a white shirt and black trousers.

Meanwhile, 34-year-old Nadiya looked stunning as she wore a black and white printed halterneck dress. She left little to the imagination as she went braless in her plunging dress along with full glam makeup and curly hair.

The duo reuniting comes after Dan voiced his support for Nadiya after she wasn't given a partner on this year's Strictly. She joined back in 2017 and has since been paired up with multiple celebs.

Dan has since supported Nadiya, saying he was "gutted" that she would not be dancing competitively. Dan and Nadiya were on the show together on the nineteenth series of the show and they came fifth, leaving in week 11.

Speaking about Nadiya, Dan said: "I’m sure she’s still looking forward to being part of the biggest show on TV but it feels a bit like putting Messi on the bench for the World Cup final!"

He added: "She is so talented, the best teacher anyone could hope for, a top class lobster & she’s the Yorkshire Barmaid!"

It has been said that show bosses tried to match the celebrities with the dance professionals that they think have the best chemistry together.

A source told the MailOnline: "Nadiya was very surprised when she learned she would merely be part of he wider dance troupe. She felt like she had done well since she joined the show so it was a shock. She wanted answers so she held several meetings with the bosses so she could get some answers. She is accepting it now."

They added: "There was no chemistry between Ms Bychkova and the male contestants." The 2023 series of the show kicks off on Saturday night which sees a whole host of celebs put on their dancing shoes. Contestants such as Bobby Brazier and Zara McDermott are giving the challenge a go.

Strictly Come Dancing begins on Saturday night at 6:35pm on BBC One.
