Denver police are looking for a woman who shot five people outside of a bar and is still at large.

Police in Colorado have identified the female shooter who injured five people outside of a bar in Denver last week as Keanna Rosenburgh.

According to witnesses, the assailant became irate with a bouncer outside of a bar when he refused her entry. So she took out her gun and attempted to shoot him. Instead, she hit five bystanders, who were all taken to the hospital and later treated for serious injuries. Then, she fled the scene.

“There seemed to be some sort of confrontation or a fight over that verbal altercation, at which she produced a handgun that was concealed on her person and started shooting,” said Armando Saldate, executive director of Denver Public Safety.

According to police, the suspect "may have been shooting towards the security personnel", but the victims were not the intended targets. Luckily, no one was killed that evening. Authorities are asking witnesses to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP) if they see her.

A man working security for a bar across the street told the local station that he heard six gunshots ring out. He rushed everyone on the sidewalk in front of his bar inside and locked the doors.

"I was standing right here and I heard six gunshots," Andrew Reader told KDVR. "My initial reaction, my goal, was to get all these people to safety." Security ushered patrons to the back of the bar until the police cleared the scene.

A woman who was waiting in line to enter Whiskey Row behind the suspect told Denver7 that people began screaming and running when the gunfire broke out. "It happened really fast," Madison Sharnowski told the local ABC news affiliate station, adding that she at first froze when she heard seven or eight gunshots. “In that moment, it’s like flight or fight response.”

She said she was thankful that she and her friends were not wounded as a woman in front of her party and behind them were each shot. "I’m extremely grateful to be here. And to be OK, and that all of my friends are also OK. But it’s a traumatic experience to go through, especially for the five victims that were hit," she said. The witness also said most victims were shot in the legs.

Sharnowski apparently stayed with one of the victims and helped her call her family, comforting her until the ambulance arrived. "You really don’t know how you’re gonna respond until it happens. And hopefully, it’s not something that you ever really have to respond to," Sharnowski said. Denver police released a photo of the woman on Monday and are offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to her arrest.
