Revolution 25 Days of Glam advent calendar 2023

The advent calendar circuit of make up brands are now in festive full swing prepping us for the festive season.

Make Up Revolution have given us a sneak peek of their 25 Days of Glam Advent Calendar, with everything you need to get ready for that first Christmas Party.

From super dewy blushes, buttery lip liners and creamy eyeshadows, there is a beauty box fit for any beauty buff who loves the pinky hues of the Revolution make up trademark look.

Here I have been wearing a handful of products for the last week, and it has to be said, usually I am a bronze/peach kind of girl, and some of these products have made it to my everyday look all week.

The Revolution 25 days of Glam is certainly a purchase for the girly girl who loves a makeup bag packed with essentials. The contents of this year's calendar are worth double the whole calendar price- so the £48 festive buy doesn't seem so weighty when considering the quality of the products inside.

For £48 - I have managed to change up my everyday minimal makeup look with some really different products for me personally. The Pink sponge has been a great addition to blend my concealer, while the mirror is now my go to for completing my look (perfect timing because my current compact mirror is broken), but what has really surprised me in this offering is the lip liner and highlighter.

Here are my favourites that I have continuously reached for in my make up bag this week.

This may not be to everybody's taste but, I really blur out my lipliner to rid of any harsh lines, and I love the results using this coral shade

• Lip Liner Bombshell Coral

This lip liner feels so much more expensive on the lips. And, what I mean by this is, only will you find a lip liner that glides on like butter in a much higher price bracket. It's long wearing and most importantly for me it's very easy to blend. I blend out the harsh lines and top up on my plumping lip gloss and it gives such a natural finished look with a little blush of colour.

This highlighter pay off is now unmatched in comparison to any other brands I am currently using in my massive highlighter collection

• Highlighter Dare to Divulge

I have quite a love/hate relationship with this shade of highlighter. I am definitely more of a gold bronze/gold highlight girl, but this almost champagne shade really doesn't give me any greyish tints which can sometimes really ruin a look when your powders collide.

The shade needed one quick swipe and gives this incredible pay off.

It would usually be quite daring for me to use this shade in my every day make up look- but it's a subtle burst of colour without completely changing my whole look colour palette

• Superdewy Blush You Got Me Blushing

It's everything I wanted it to be and more- dewy enough to glide over my cream bronzer and sheer enough to not give too much colour to make me feel too flushed.

This mauve-like shade is a dream for with a bronzed look- I usually stick to a peachy blush but i've really enjoyed the change with a little more of a flushed. English rose feel to my everyday make up.

Verdict

For me, I think that it has really made me have a play with different looks I would never usually go for.

What works for me is, finding long wearing products which I don't need to top up every half an hour when out and enjoying time with family and friends. The three products I have fell in love with (above) would cost me approx £13 if bought separately- so in theory, I would only be paying an extra £24 for a palette (worth £5) and 21 other products- It's definitely a worthy bargain I think.

Beauty lovers will be glad to find a great mix of brushes, a sponge and even a mirror to help the glamming process commence over the festive season.
