Erik ten Hag insists Manchester United have to stick together if they are to get out of the hole they’ve dug for themselves.

United face a growing crisis following three straight defeats in all competitions. Ten Hag is feeling the pressure ahead of Saturday's crunch showdown at Burnley - and there have been reports of a dressing room split within the United squad.

And while Ten Hag denies there is a problem between his players, he admits United have to work as one to start winning games. Ten Hag said: “At United, you have to win every game, so it doesn't change anything. I don't know if it's a leak (in the dressing room), but I know my opinion, I know my players. Everyone can make suggestions, but we are okay with it.

“You get stronger from it, as long as you stay together. That’s what we're doing. All the staff, coaches, medical people, everyone is united - and at United you fight.”

Ten Hag, meanwhile, has denied his agent now has too much influence at the club. Staff have expressed concerns about the growing involvement Kees Vos has in transfer activity involving United.

But Ten Hag added: “It can't be, because we make very good agreements about it from the start. How we cooperate in that manner, for player decisions, transfers, it's always 50-50. We both have a veto, the club, represented by John Murtough, and me. So there can never be a distraction.”

Indeed, Ten Hag will be hoping his side bounce back from their midweek defeat at Bayern Munich when they travel to face Burnley this weekend. After their defeat in Germany, Ten Hag slammed his under-fire players for conceding "giveaway" goals in their damning 4-3 defeat to Bayern.

He said: "[I'm] disappointed and when you score three goals in Munich, at the least you have to take a point and we didn't. And you have to look in the mirror because the goals were easy giveaways.

"We were, in the first 25 minutes, better in the game than Munich and then that goal, it was so easy and it was not only Andre [Onana]. If you see how easy [Leroy] Sane is going through and that has to do with determination, you don't let players through so easy.'

Captain Bruno Fernandes urged his team-mates to stick together in the aftermath of the loss, insisting that injured players isn't an excuse for the type of result which occurred in Munich. "We don't have to think about the injured players," a dejected Fernandes told TNT Sports.

"We have enough players to give a response on the pitch. Obviously, we want everyone fit, as many players as possible, and we know we have some important players injured, but that's not an excuse not to win games."
