Nicole Scherzinger shocked fans on Thursday as she smeared herself with fake blood for a horrifying performance for the opening night of her new West End show Sunset Boulevard at The Savoy.

Halloween appeared to come early for the 45 year old former Pussycat Dolls singer as she was seen on stage covered in fake blood on her chin and down her chest. Special FX make-up was used to give the illusion of blood, which her co-star Tom Francis also sported.

Nicole, who is taking on the role of Norma Desmond in the production, completed her shocking look for the evening in a tight black latex jumpsuit. Sporting sleek raven tresses, the American singer-songwriter and dancer put on an animated display as she gave her first show performance.

Later, she was seen having wiped off the bloody make-up from her face as she greeted fans outside the theatre. Nicole appeared to be in a great move and loving her life, especially after recently announcing that she had officially made the move to London. In a snap shared to her Instagram account, the star stood outside an iconic red telephone box while in a matching flowery red dress. She captioned the image: "Guess who's moved to London," alongside a UK flag and sun emoji.

In another short clip, she was seen getting into the phone box with the caption: "In my UK girl era." The former X Factor UK's move may have something to do with her engagement to Scottish rugby union player Thom Evans, who popped the question during a romantic getaway in July.

After three years of dating, Thom got down on one knee and asked the singer to marry him during an intimate dinner date at Casa de Cha da Boa Nova. The two Michelin star restaurant was the perfect spot to pop the question with a breathtaking view overlooking the Atlantic ocean in Portugal.

Onlookers at the restaurant said that Thom and singer Nicole were "in their own world" as they feasted on their fancy meal before posing for a snap with head chef Rui Paula and his kitchen staff. A source at the restaurant told us: "Nicole and Thom are a lovely couple. They enjoyed their meal with us, and were very complimentary – and posed for pictures afterwards. We're thrilled to have played a part in such an important day for them, and hope to see them again in the future."

The couple first met during the first and only series of The X Factor: Celebrity, which aired in 2019. Thom was part of a boy band named Try Star, along with fellow rugby stars Ben Foden and Levi Davis. Nicole was a former judge on the hit reality television series and joined the American version of the show in 2011 when she replaced Cheryl Ann Tweedy.
