Tom Brady wants Shedeur Sanders to spend more time in the film room over worrying about material possessions like cars.

Deion Sanders and his son Shedeur, who have significantly impacted college football at the University of Colorado, appeared on Tom Brady's "Let's Go!" podcast earlier this week. Shedeur shared loving the advantage of having access to a wealth of free advice from his father, who is both his head coach at Colorado and a Pro Football Hall of Famer.

Toward the podcast's conclusion, Coach Sanders teased his son about choosing a luxury car as a college student. During a conversation with Coach Prime, Brady was asked whether college students should have a Phantom car like a Rolls-Royce.

However, Shedeur corrected his father by specifying that it was not a Phantom but a Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Brady responded by jokingly advising Shedeur to focus on his football career and prioritize his athletic pursuits as a college student-athlete.

"I think he needs to get his a** in the film room and spend as much time there as possible. Less time in the car and more time in the film room," Brady replied.

Coach Sanders thanked Brady for his valuable insights and advice, but Shedeur decided to challenge Brady's comment playfully. Shedeur joked, "I saw you have one too, Tom." In response, Brady chuckled and humbly replied, "I had a few bucks in my pocket at that time."

With the NIL deal sfor NCAA athletes, high-profile players like Shedeur can now afford luxuries that athletes like Brady had to wait to get to the NFL for. According to On3 NIL evaluations, Sanders makes $5.1 million annually in NIL money, is the highest-paid NCAA college football player and the No. 2 overall highest-paid college athlete on the NIL 100 list. He has deals with Topps, Urban Outfitters, and Beats by Dre.

After a 3-0 start to his college football career, the Colorado QB has become one of the most promising stars in collegiate sports. According to Fox Sports, Sanders might be on the cusp of capitalizing significantly on his name, image, and likeness, potentially earning a substantial $10 million if he continues playing for Colorado in the 2024 season.

The scenario is contingent on Sanders choosing to forego NFL opportunities, as he is widely expected to be a prominent first-round draft pick in the 2024 NFL Draft if he turns professional following this season. Regarding the draft, Coach Sanders clarified that his kids will not soon go anywhere.

"Shilo said, 'Oh, wow, Shedeur, look. You gonna be in the NFL next year.' I said,' No, he ain't.'…You all ain't going nowhere," Deion said to his sons in a YouTube video by Well Off Media.

The Colorado Buffaloes are currently ranked No. 19 in the AP Top 25 college football team's list. The Buffaloes will face No. 10 ranked Oregon on Sept. 23 in their second away game of the year.
