My Mum, Your Dad contestants' children cringe over parents' intimacy workshop

My Mum, Your Dad made the contestants take part in an intimacy workshop on Monday, leaving their children and fans at home cringing over the scenes.

The new ITV dating show, hosted by Davina McCall, sees a group of single parents, who have been nominated by their grown-up kids for a second chance at love. However, there's a twist as unbeknownst to the parents, their kids will be watching their every move from a nearby location with a surveillance room where they get the chance to play matchmaker for their parent.

And during Monday's episode, the contestants' children admitted they "didn't want to see this" as their parents had to take part in the racy workshop, which also involved props such as chocolate and ice cubes, while they watched their every move in the secret second villa.

Reacting to the scenes, one of the children remarked: "This is so cringe!" while another added: "I never thought I'd have to see this, I feel like I'm being tortured!" as they hid behind pillows while reacting to the "cringe-worthy" scenes.

Taking to social media, one person said: "#MyMumYourDad the sex and intimacy thing was way too early in these people’s relationship journeys. So awkward and so public in front of each other and on telly. Toe curlingly cringe. Brilliant TV for us though" while a different fan added: "This intimacy bit is blatantly just for tv cringe factor and is unnecessary #MyMumYourDad."

Whereas the kids are just cringing #MyMumYourDad @MyMumYourDadUK" with a laughing emoji while another added: "Tonight’s #Mymumyourdad @itv those poor children hiding behind pillows, so so so funny!! Taking cringe to another level…….HILARIOUS!!! Licking the chocolate finger was a different league of squirm #itv @ThisisDavina I love this programme."

Elsewhere on the show, viewers were left gutted as Monique told fan favourite Martin H, who she had been getting to know, that she was getting butterflies with newcomer Martin M. One person said: "BRING SOMEONE IN FOR MARTIN H #MyMumYourDad" with heartbroken emojis while another viewer added: "Poor Martin H #mymumyourdad."
