Olly Murs has revealed he is ready to have kids weeks after getting married

Olly Murs has set a limit on six children with his new wife Amelia after admitting he's already got babies on the brain.

The former X Factor star, 39, said "I do" to the bodybuilder, 31, at their dream wedding this summer a year after he popped the question. They hired the private Osea Island in Essex for their festival-themed nuptials, which included a Ferris wheel, McDonald's catering and a superstar singer.

After their sensational ceremony, it seems the newlyweds are already thinking about that next step. They could be teeny tiny steps in fact but Olly has just one demand it seems - he thinks seven children would be too much! He spoke to OK! Magazine about the future.

“Married life has been lovely,” Olly said. “I haven’t been around much, really, because I’ve been touring, so it’s nice to be home. I’m not sure I’m going to go for six kids, but of course I’d love to have children." It's not the first time the singer has spoken about taking things to the next level.

Olly is clearly ready to become a dad. "We’re ready to have our own little Murs running around. It’s so special that we’ll be able to take our kids to Osea Island one day and say: 'This is where we got married'," he told Hello! Magazine.

The Voice UK judge says pal Mark, who was a guest at the wedding, used his Essex charm to persuade him to perform – despite the glam event clashing with a gig. “He’s a cheeky little bugger because basically I was on tour and he said, ‘Murs, mate, you know I love you, you’re my brother, and I know you’ve got a show that night, but is there any chance you can come to my house and do a gig for me?’” Olly says.

“And Michelle said, ‘We’d love you to come.’ So I literally jumped on my tour bus and we drove to his house in Essex and then I had to go from there to Plymouth overnight – honestly!” Olly recently performed at their ‘Marchella’ housewarming extravaganza, which celebrated the couple finally moving into their £3.5 million Essex mansion.

The couple shared their engagement news on Instagram as Olly captured the sweet moment on camera when Amelia jumped into her fiancé's arms after he proposed. Olly and Amelia said 'I do' on a private island called Osea Island in the Blackwater Estuary, Essex, which only lets visitors in for five hours per day.

The happy couple chose to have a festival-style event as guests were treated to a fun-fair carousel as well as a main festival stage, with the words: "Murs Fest," above the top with two wedding bands intertwined with one another. Olly hired singer Craig David to perform for the couple and their guests on their special day as they partied until 2am on Sunday. There were reportedly 60 people at the couple's wedding on Saturday before another 100 joined them for the evening bash.

Since his wedding, OIly has opened up on his big day and recalled the moment he saw Amelia walk down the aisle. "I was on the brink of crying at any moment," he revealed to Hello!. "When my nephews walked down the aisle, I was gone, then when Amelia came in – oh my God! My mum said she hasn’t seen me cry like that since I was four years old!"
