Those who are yet to invest in a current-gen console will be glad to know that the PS5 price has dropped again following the recent PlayStation Summer Sale.

You can currently get your hands on a PS5 for less than £400 thanks to this August Bank Holiday sale at a range of retailers, with some of them offering up discounted bundle deals too. Back in July, we saw the start of the PlayStation Summer Sale where the PS5 price dropped to an all-time low and ended mid-August.

This PS5 price drop brings the disc edition console down to just £399 at a range of retailers. This usually comes in at £479.99, meaning you're saving a pretty hefty £80 which could be well spent on some of the best PS5 games.

Despite it feeling like the PlayStation Summer Sale has just ended, we are already being blessed with another PS5 price drop. Retailer sites don't state when this PS5 price cut will end, but Very states that this is a Bank Holiday deal suggesting you only have until Monday night to get your hands on a new console.

Here are the best retailers to pick up a PS5 standard console from during this weekend's Bank Holiday sales. The best deal comes from GAME, where not only do you get to take advantage of the PS5 price drop but you can also get your hands on a free game along with your purchase.

All of the above retailers offer free shipping when you take advantage of this PS5 price cut. However, Amazon offers Amazon Prime free shipping to those who are subscribed to the service meaning you could get your hands on the discounted console as soon as this evening.

Make way for the Slim

With another PS5 price drop happening so soon after the last, it does make it seem like Sony is attempting to rid of stock of the console as soon as possible. This could possibly be to make way for the PS5 Slim. Rumours surrounding the PS5 Slim suggest that the new console would have a detachable disc drive and replace the current consoles, which would lead to the production of the PS5 standard edition and PS5 digital edition both being ceased.

If this really is the case, then it makes sense that Sony would want to rid of all current PS5 stock as soon as possible prior to a PS5 Slim announcement. And what better way to do that than offering fans the opportunity to take advantage of a good old PS5 price drop?
