Brits typically share four photos online while on staycation in the UK – with St Michael's Mount in Cornwall, and the Isle of Skye in Scotland, named as the most “Instagrammable” spots on UK soil.
Fort William, Loch Awe, and Orkney, all in Scotland, also featured in the top 10 list of UK destinations to snap the best photos.
And the Llyn Peninsula in Wales, Old Harry Rocks in Dorset, and Northumberland's Holy Island of Lindisfarne, also ranked highly.
In fact, a survey of 2,000 adults found that four in ten (39%) are likely to visit a remote beauty spot just so they can share photos on social media – taking an average of just 20 minutes to post the photo after snapping it.
And Brits are likely to snap up to 15 pics per trip – with half of those polled (51%) putting beautiful landscapes at the top of their UK travel wish lists, as they believe this is the key to securing the best photo of a stunning UK setting.

Other ways to capture the perfect shot include finding unspoilt natural backgrounds, a sunrise or sunset, and a lack of other people around – with adults taking an average of 15 snaps per trip.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the survey also found that 18% look for a place with good phone signal when it comes to holidaying on their home turf, while six in ten look for a mobile provider with reliable network coverage.
And when opting for somewhere within the UK to travel, beach destinations are the most popular, followed by the countryside, and a forest.
Lulworth Cove in Dorset, Cornwall’s Sennen Cove, and Whitby sands in Yorkshire, were among the top beaches to visit, according to the study, carried out via OnePoll.
But 90% are aware there are probably beautiful places around the UK they have never heard of, and 38% would like to explore British hotspots more.
