Iceland has cut the price of 500 of its most popular products across its stores and online to help struggling shoppers.

The frozen food retailer says the move is part of its £26million overall investment to help keep prices low for customers.

Some examples of popular brands included in the price cuts are Heinz, Nescafe, Tetley, and Kellogg's.

In addition to this, the supermarket chain says that one-third of its entire range is now part of its "Mix and Match" multibuy offering.

The Mix & Match offering lets customers buy multiple, essential weekly shop items across a number of food categories.

Currently, Mix & Match offers include its three for £3, which focuses on morning goods, bread and other selected groceries, and its three for £5 range, which focuses on own label and branded chilled products.

Iceland also does a three for £10 offer, which includes Iceland's original three for £10 deal items as well as new and exclusive brands such as Greggs, Slimming World, and Cathedral City.

Richard Walker, executive chairman of Iceland Foods, said: “Families are struggling more than ever as the cost-of-living crisis worsens.

"That’s why we’ve invested millions – and will continue to do so – to keep prices low across key weekly shop items.

"We know we have a responsibility as a business to support our customers in any way we can and offer great value when people need it most.”

In January, Iceland announced that it was to extend its £1 price freeze for the remainder of this year.

The price freeze saw around 600 products costing £1 or less keep their price as close to £1 and under for the remainder of 2023.
