Lupe Samano had been bed bound for 12 years as a result of her food addiction, but she now looks completely different after losing more than half her body weight.
The My 600lb Life star weighed in at 642lb (45.8 stone) when she appeared on the TLC reality show and was desperate to turn her life around after slipping into a diabetic coma early in her life.
Lupe's weight soared to 35.7 stone (500lb) by the time she was a teenager and she said she had reached the point of severe depression.
Speaking on the show, she admitted: "I've lost motivation to do anything for myself. My body is starting to break down."

The reality star's struggles with food addiction and weight gain started at an early age.
Lupe's father abandoned her and her sister in a bathtub and never returned. Lupe stayed in the tub for hours waiting for her father to come back.
When he didn’t, she turned to food as a coping mechanism to deal with the trauma.

After following an intense diet and exercise regime, the TV personality eventually managed to qualify for gastric bypass surgery.
Lupe went on to lose an incredible 28.5 stone (400lb) and was down to just 15.7 stone (220lb) in 2019.
In an update on her YouTube channel last year, she wrote: "Sometimes I feel like a failure… sometimes I feel I accomplished nothing in life, but after watching this, I can honestly say I've come [a long] way."

"I might not be [where] I want to be, but I’m not [where] I [used] to be, so I thank God for the strength he has given me to make it through every trial and tribulation I have had to face."
Lupe looks completely different now and showed off her weight loss in one picture as she pouted for the camera wearing a white vest top and striped skirt.

Lupe's health journey wasn't always easy.
Her husband pressured her to have sex with him shortly after her gastric bypass surgery, which ended up tearing her stitches and infecting her wound.
After losing weight, Lupe left her husband after discovering he had been having multiple affairs with other women behind her back.
She then found love with a new partner, Andrew Renteria.
Andrew sadly died just two years after they got together after suffering from kidney problems.
