A personal trainer was left in disbelief after one of his videos went viral with viewers claiming his clients were 'junkies' on Spice.

Martin Goldsworthy, from Cornwall, shared the footage of the aftermath of one of his intense workout sessions before people across the world then accused everyone in it of being drug addicts.

Filmed inside a tunnel, Martin said the fitness students were trying to avoid the rain that day after their high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session.

They thought that the tunnel - the likes of which are often sadly associated with homeless people - would be a cool, dry place to lie down and recover after a vigorous workout.

He shared the video of the knackered crew lying down or slumped over in January but just last week his phone started dinging like mad.

He said it was "so random" as he watched it go from just a couple of hundred views to nearly two million in a matter of days - with a lot of bizarre comments, reports Cornwall Live

"It was random because this video was posted back in January," he said.

"Then I was doing a boot camp and last week and noticed on my phone there was a few new comments and by Tuesday it had 2,000 views, then by the end of the week 800,000 and today it is at 1,600,000."

But as the video's popularity continued to grow on Facebook, so did the increasing amount of comments bizarrely accusing the participants of being drug addicts - across the world in an American tunnel.

"All cracked up," was one remark while another said "eww people probably pee in there lol". One even said: "America is a sh**hole" despite the video being filmed in Camborne, Cornwall.

Another added: "What place is that what's wrong with these people" to which another replied "drugs" and someone else responded "really very sad to see all that why people don't understand before using drugs".

Another comment said: "They're all junkies" while someone else wrote: "Those smack heads will do their spice".

Other comments included "This drug story is terrible", "lost lives, very sad" and simply "drug addicts".

Martin, 33, added: "The tunnel does not look like a fitness related area but it was raining outside. It does look like somewhere the homeless might go, it is pretty mucky and it is after a workout so I guess people think they look like druggies.

"The amount of comments we have saying we are druggies and alcoholics is crazy. People have clearly not read the post, just seen the video and left comments.

"My clients all know and it's just a bit of a laugh because they all know it's a fitness class in the tunnel. It's just so random. People don't read posts they just make up their minds and comment on it."

His personal training page, Goldsworthy Personal Training - GPT, has gone from 2,000 followers to 6,500 in a matter of days.

"People all across the world have watched it," he said. "It's just so unreal to see the random following I've not got from this one random post."
