Haley and Hanna Cavinder have hinted at a move to the WWE after announcing earlier this week that they were stepping away from college basketball.

The 22-year-old twins helped Miami reach the Elite Eight as a No9 seed in March. They helped beat Oklahoma State, Villanova and Indiana before losing to national champions LSU Tigers.

But just two days ago, the twins said that they would not return to Miami for their fifth season of eligibility, hinting that a “new chapter” was on the horizon. The Cavinder twins signed a Name, Image and Likeness deal with WWE in December 2021, being part of the “Next in Line” program which prepares wrestlers for in-ring careers.

“We love the WWE,” the Cavinders said Thursday on 'The Today Show'. “The fan base, the sport, the fitness side of it - they're great, our partner, and we're very excited for a future with them.”

The WWE have had a striking twin duo on their roster before in the Bella Twins. Perhaps the wrestling promotion are trying to recreate the Bella Twins’ success, which saw them win singles titles and be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The Cavinders have previously spoken about their involvement with the WWE. “We were at an event in Nashville and it was so fun, and their fanbase is crazy,” Hanna said on the BFF podcast. “We could be the next Bella Twins. 'We'd have to take classes, fully train and take classes. Fully do it. It's not no joke, at all.”

The deal with the WWE is believed to give the twins access to the WWE's Performance Center in Florida to learn acrobatics and any other skill needed to pursue careers as wrestlers.

A move to the WWE could help put more money in the Cavinders’ pockets, with the company’s revenue increasing 10 percent and past $billion (£798million). Haley and Hanna are already believed to have a combined net worth of $1.7m (1.35m).

As well as their relationship with the WWE, Haley and Hanna have partnerships with GoPuff and Venmo.
