If you've ever struggled to open a Chupa Chups lollipop, then you're in luck as a mum's shared the 'secret' the opening them in seconds.

So you can say goodbye to the struggle many of us know all too well, when you're desperate to tuck into the sweet but you can't figure out how to unwrap it properly.

But be warned, you might feel silly if you've missed the solution because it's been staring us in the face the whole time.

It turns out the popular lollies include a small 'flag' you need to find and pull, according to author Lauren Dubois.

Posting to TikTok as @thelaurendubois, the Aussie mum shared the discovery to the delight of other parents.

"Hi, I'm Lauren and I'm here to change your life," she said. "Does this bring you intense fury and rage instead of happiness and joy?" Lauren asked as she held up a Chupa Chup. "Because it shouldn't take a f****g angle grinder to open a lollipop.

"I feel you and I'm here to fix it for you.

"I know the secret!"

As she explained, the lollies feature a 'little flag', in either red or black depending on the flavour, which help you to open the sweet without tearing aimlessly at the packaging. "All you need to do is pull it," which she does, and seconds later the sweet is fully unwrapped.

"Just changing lives over here," her caption joked.

However, many viewers took the video's message to heart and were quick to thank the mum for sharing her knowledge.

"You saved me thank you for your kindness," said one commenter. "I've been using my teeth for years," wrote a second.

"Life changed!!!" someone agreed. "I have been a parent for 21 yrs and never knew that. I'm going to buy one to see if I can do it lol," replied another.

Unfortunately, commenters weren't sure if the tip can be used by all sweet fans, though.

"They don't have flags in the UK," one person thought. "I've eaten maybe a million of them and have never seen a single flag," someone else revealed.
