Aldi shoppers say they 'can't unsee' the rude-looking sweets

Aldi might have just landed itself in trouble with the Easter Bunny after shoppers spotted a rude detail in the supermarket's festive sweets. Ahead of the occasion, Aldi is selling colourful marshmallows in the shape of springtime animals.

But shoppers think the 'bunnies and chicks' look like something else entirely.

Unfortunately, finding the rude shapes doesn't require much imagination either. Aldi itself admitted the sweets are indefensible after shoppers took to Twitter to mock the mistake you 'can't unsee' once you've found it.

Joining in on the fun, Specsavers even joked the supermarket needs to visit the opticians after the product went viral.

The cheeky marshmallows first caught the attention of @missviaborsi, who took to Twitter to share their shock. "Sorry Aldi, but that ain't a Bunny," the shopper wrote.

Understandably, the Tweet caused quite a stir, but it was Aldi's own response that skyrocketed the picture to fame.

The supermarket replied: "We can't even defend this one," and the Tweet gained thousands of likes as shoppers were delighted to see Aldi own up to the blunder.

As you might expect, the jokes rolled in thick and fast. "Randy Rabbits," one person replied. A second said: "It ain't a bunny, but it sure is funny."

Another commenter thought: "That's so funny," and a different responder wrote: "… gives 'happy easter' a very different meaning." Meanwhile, @Specsavers quipped: "Might be time to pop in." But other shoppers thought the supermarket could be onto something.

"LOL that went a bit wrong. :) Put them in the specials as adult toys," they recommended. "I'm on my way to get some," one person replied, while another fan said: "I'm buying."

However, it's not the first time shoppers have been left in stitches by Aldi's products. Earlier this year eyebrows were raised over a skincare gadget, as fans once again thought it might have been stocked in the wrong aisle.

But what many suspected was a sex toy turned out to be a beauty tool; it just so happened that the vibrating gadget's shape reminded shoppers of something else.
