It can be tough in those early months after a breakup when the emotions are still very raw and you feel unsure about meeting anyone new. But you might find yourself getting really excited when you take the leap to get back out there and start dating again.
However, one woman was upset when the guy she was supposed to be meeting for a date ignored her messages and did not show up, just because she established her boundaries.
He messaged on the popular dating app Hinge to say he was leaving soon and made an innuendo which suggested he was just looking to hookup.

Taking to Reddit, the woman who remained, anonymous, said: "I met a guy on Hinge with whom I had a really good connection, and after talking for a few weeks, we made plans to meet.

" I was really excited; this was my first date since my breakup. I got all dolled up and wore my favorite [sic] dress for the first time in a while."
She went onto explain that he messaged about half an hour before they were due to meet saying he would be leaving soon and this was followed by an innuendo which suggested his intentions for after the date.
"Because I really value clear communication, I used this to clarify that I wasn't looking to hookup on the first date & that we should get to know each other more before we do anything physical," she said.
"He stopped replying. Immediately. No texts after that, no replies to my subsequent texts asking if he were on his way, no answer when I asked him if our date was cancelled. He didn't even bother coming up with a last minute excuse to save face."
The woman said that she ended up crying and admitted she was still feeling fragile from her breakup, but felt horrified that somebody just wanted to use her in this way.
In response, the woman received a lot of support from those commenting as one person wrote: "Better not to meet him at all then meet him and say you really like him, and he starts playing that game that those ones do and really hurts you."
While another wrote: "I feel terrible for you, but he took the trash out quite tidily for you. No having to figure out how to be safe, no guessing about his intentions."
