Donald Trump criticizes Keir Starmer just days before their meeting

Donald Trump has criticized Keir Starmer just days before they are set to meet at the White House. He also renewed his attacks on Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky following their recent exchanges.

Donald Trump has launched a shocking new attack on Keir Starmer just days before the pair meet in Washington DC.

Speaking to Fox News Radio this evening, Trump claimed the Prime Minister and French President Emmanuel Macron have "done nothing" to help end the war in Ukraine. He also took aim at Ukraine’s Volodomyr Zelensky, and said: "I’ve been watching him negotiate with no cards. He has no cards and you get sick of it... I’ve had it".

Asked by the host about the upcoming visits from Starmer and Macron, he said tonight: "They didn’t do anything either. The war’s going on, no meetings with Russia, no nothing. They haven’t done anything. Macron is a friend of mine, and I’ve met with the Prime Minister and he’s a very nice guy... nobody’s done anything."

The Prime Minister will meet Donald Trump at the White House next Thursday eiqtidqriqdzinv

Starmer is due to meet the US President at the White House next Thursday, where he is expected to discuss a possible American ’backstop’ following a peace deal in Ukraine. Macron, who has aligned himself with the Prime Minister’s proposals for a joint European peacekeeping force, will head over on Monday.

Trump tonight also redoubled this week’s attacks on Zelensky, and said he is "sick" of the Ukrainian leader. He claimed the man he described earlier this week as a "dictator" has led Ukraine to "ruin" - and as a result "shouldn’t be at" his meetings with Russia about ending the war.

Appearing again to side with the Kremlin, Trump went on to say: "Every time I say, ‘Oh, it’s not Russia’s fault,’ I always get slammed by the fake news. But I’m telling you, Biden said the wrong things. Zelensky said the wrong things. They got attacked by somebody that’s much bigger and much stronger."

Trump also ignored the interviewer’s questions about whether Putin started the war. After he described some of the damage inflicted on Ukrainian cities during the conflict, host Brian Kilmeade asked "that’s Vladimir Putin’s fault, don’t you agree?" The president did not acknowledge his remarks and continued to attack Zelensky’s record.
