If you're still mourning the loss of Caramac - you may want to check out Lidl's latest Easter range.
Last year, the UK was hit with overwhelming grief after Nestle confirmed the cult-favourite chocolate bar Caramac was being axed. After 64 years on the shelf, the iconic caramel-flavoured bars were pulled due to low sales.
Fans were outraged at the decision, describing it as an 'end of an era' - while others suggested to strike up a petition calling for its return. Four months later and Caramac fans are still 'appalled' their beloved chocolate bar is gone for good. That was, until now (kind of)....
Budget retailer Lidl has launched its Deluxe Blonde Chocolate Ripple Egg which it says Caramac fans will love. Priced at £3.99, the egg features creamy white chocolate with a 'swirl of delicious caramel'. The supermarket says its new Easter egg makes an 'excellent dupe' to Caramac and has already hit stores nationwide. However, it will only be available while stocks last - so you'll need to act quick.
Lidl has also launched its Favorina Chocolate Bunny for £1.99, which it says recently pitted against Lindt in a taste test. "Not only did Lidl's bunny triumph on flavours with testers describing it as 'love at first bite', but Lidl's option also comes in at nearly half the price," the supermarket said. Other Easter goodies include the Favorina Chocolate Unicorn (£3.29), Favorina Milk Chocolate Hen (£1.99), Favorina Mini Chocolate Rabbit (99p), and Monty's Easter Cheddar Egg (£2.99).

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Caramac fans are still being vocal about the axed treat. "I'm still shocked and appalled that Nestle have stopped making Caramac bars," one person wrote.
Another agreed, commenting: "The last Caramac from Christmas just reached its best before date so I had to eat it. RIP the mighty Caramac. Please keep me in your thoughts at this time." While a third added: "So pleased I still have ten Caramac bars."
After announcing the decision to pull the chocolate from retailers last November, Nestle said: "It was a difficult decision for us because we're proud of all our products and don't like to disappoint our consumers. We hope you can understand why we took this decision."
