Charity Pierce has completely transformed her life and looks unrecognisable after shedding more than 28 stone (400lbs).

The My 600lb Life star weighed in at more than 57 stone (almost 800lbs) when she first appeared on the TLC show and was suffering from flesh-eating bacteria.

Charity, 47, was left unable to carry out day-to-day tasks without the help of her family and suffered from depression, saying in one episode that she would "rather die than live this way".

With the help of Dr Nowzaradan and gastric bypass surgery, the TV personality was able to shed the weight, losing more than 400 pounds and dropping down to 29 stone.

As part of her epic transformation, Charity had excess skin removed and surgeons took out a 20lb tumour from her body.

Following her time on My 600lb Life, Charity continued on her health journey.

She carried on shedding the pounds, losing a further eight stone (113 pounds).

Things haven't always been plain sailing for Charity, however, and she was sadly diagnosed with kidney cancer in March 2020.

Posting on Facebook, she said: "I found out at Christmas time that I have kidney cancer. It devastated me [because] my mom passed away from brain cancer.

"The next step was to get my kidney removed as soon as possible before it had a chance to spread to other organs in my body. So on March 2 my kidney was removed."

Charity added: "Now I’m at home trying to heal. I just hope the future has something good in store."

Her daughter Charly, who lost more than six stone after battling her own obesity issues, offered an update on her mum later that year.

She said despite her mum's "struggles", she is "doing great now".

Charity, who has since welcomed a grandchild, now spends her time on TikTok updating fans about her life.

In one video, Charity joked about being "put on baby duty" as she kept things casual in a black hoodie and bright purple top.
